Renovation Dedication

Litany of Dedication for Renovations

Blessed are you, O Lord our God,

for enriching our lives with many good gifts.

You command us to show your love for others

and to live with peace, justice, and mercy.

We dedicate to you our renovations to this building.

Thank you for each person who contributed funds,

or labored to improve function and beauty.

May these renovations help us

live our vision of intimacy and invitation.

Use them to draw us into intimacy

with you and each other,

and to welcome our guests with joy.

Accept this worship space which we offer in thanksgiving.

Let the lights remind us of Christ,

the Light of the world.

Let the sound system summon us

to hear the words of Christ and the music of the Spirit.

Accept our fellowship and cooking space,

which we offer with gratitude.

May our fellowship offer hospitality

without discrimination.

May our meals anticipate your heavenly banquet

where people of every tribe and nation will feast.

All things come from you, O God.

From your own gifts we give back to you.

Prosper the work of our hands.

Empower us by the Spirit to use our land and buildings in proclaiming how near your kingdom is.

For the kingdom, power, and glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.
