As we head into the summer months, plans are underway for the 2013 MCC Relief Sale Silent Auction. Relief Sale weekend is September 27-28. We are looking for contributions in the following areas:
- THEMED GIFT BASKETS: Very popular last year! We invite various church small groups, businesses, and individuals to consider donating a gift basket. Some themes from last year included gourmet popcorn, baby baskets, specialty foods, college care package, etc. The possibilities are endless! We ask that all baskets contain new items only and carry a value of at least $25.
- GIFT CERTIFICATES: A huge hit last year, many going for more than face value! Will you consider purchasing and donating a gift certificate from an area restaurant, business, or service ($25 minimum value)?
- ITEM DONATIONS: Do you have something new and unique to donate? Possibilities include handmade art pieces, collectibles/memorabilia, handcrafted furniture/home decor, children’s items, lawn/garden equipment, outdoor recreational items, etc. We will be sure to acknowledge all donors! (Items should be new and have a minimum value of $25.)
- VOLUNTEERS: Many volunteers are needed! If you are able to assist with phone calls for donations, item pickup, marketing, event setup, technical support/bidder assistance during the sale, please let us know!
