We are encourage MCC constituents in our Great Lakes region to participate in the upcoming Days of Prayer and Action (DOPA) for Colombia!

This annual event draws attention to issues currently impacting our brothers and sisters in Colombia and involves a day of prayer followed by a day of action. We are trying to involve as many U.S. churches as possible in this event.

Currently, the Colombian government is one year into peace negotiations with FARC, the country’s largest guerrilla group after half a century of violence and injustice. The peace process has turned a corner and we urge you to pray and take action to the U.S. government to support and encourage this process.

This year, the Days of Prayer and Action will take place Sunday, April 6 and Monday, April 7. On Sunday, April 6th, we encourage you to join in worship with Colombian brothers and sisters to pray and reflect on the issues facing Colombia. Monday, April 7th, is a day to witness and call on U.S. policy makers to promote peace with justice in Colombia.

Local churches interested in participating in DOPA this year can register online at
