The Weight of the World

Summary

Sometimes in our lives we all feel like this (picture of people bent over with snow on their backs).

And I don’t just mean adjusting to the snow and cold we had last week. Or the literal darkness that seems to be enveloping us well before the day is done.

No, this image reminds me of the stressors of our lives,

And those times when they just keep on coming.

Rather than rolling off our backs, they stick and they begin to pile up,

bending us over under their weight.

I think we can all identify with this feeling.

Collectively and systemically, there’s a lot that is overwhelming right now.
