John and Ruth Roth have been asked to serve as delegates for the Berkey congregation at the upcoming MC USA convention (July 5-8). There is only one major resolution for consideration (“Seeking Peace in Israel and Palestine”). Most of the time in the delegate sessions will be focused on the “Future Church Summit” process, a broad conversation on the future of MC USA framed around the general question of “how will we follow Jesus as Anabaptists in the 21st century?” If you have thoughts to share on either the Israel-Palestine resolution or the broader discussion regarding the future priorities for our church please feel free to contact John or Ruth in the next two weeks.
